Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Principal Technical Advisor to support ongoing operations in Aiken, SC.
Establish cost-effective technical solutions to issues generated by frequently changing requirements; define and conduct technical investigations where appropriate. Develop "leading edge" methods and technologies to effectively mitigate undesirable programmatic and operational issues or deficiencies.
DUTIES:
Ensure the NMC&A Requirements from current DOE Order for Nuclear Material Control and Accountability are incorporated in the design and schedule of the facility.
Provide guidance to the new NMC&A Employees and support training development and mentorship of the next generation.
Serves as an expert on Nuclear Material Control and Accountability (NMC&A) processes at Savannah River Site.
Requires 20+ years of experience with Nuclear Material Control and Accountability at a DOE/NNSA site.
Specialized knowledge required varies with the particular technical assignment.
Advanced knowledge of such subjects as analytical chemistry, radiochemistry, non-destructive examination techniques, reactor physics, statistics, or plant operations are typical areas in which the incumbent will need to demonstrate a high level of proficiency.
Knowledge in other areas likely to benefit the incumbent include experimental design, and project management.
