Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality Control Engineer to support ongoing operations in Aiken, SC.
Provide quality control support to the project team and direct personnel to implement quality requirements and to accurately status the results. Perform construction quality control inspection and surveillance activities in support of project and/or maintenance activities.
DUTIES:

requirements and to accurately status the results. Perform construction quality control inspection and surveillance activities in support of project and/or maintenance activities.
Safety is a primary responsibility in each job performed. Obtain safety training, obey safety rules. and make safety an integral part of each task. Take the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition.
Develop, revise, and perform peer reviews of Quality Control Inspection Plans related to
mechanical, piping and welding, in accordance with Design Output documents, Codes,
and Standards.
Perform field related inspections in accordance with Quality Control Inspection Plans.
Document inspection results on applicable inspection records and issue Non-
Conformance reports as required.
Review product and process compliance with all specified drawings, specifications, and
other requirements through inspection and/or review of supplied materials and equipment
Certification with continuing technical training is required for performance of inspections and surveillance activities.
Specialized training may also be required to support certain technical areas.
Prior work experience working under an ASME NQA-1 quality program.
Prior DOE work experience.
Well-developed organizational skills with good communication skills.
Foster a work environment that promotes safety, quality, openness, trust, communication,
teamwork, and customer satisfaction.
Practical field experience in mechanical, piping, and welding quality control within the
past 16 months.
Candidates with an AWS CWI or prior SNT-TC-1A VT Level II certification are
preferred.
