Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Senior Nuclear Operations Professional to support ongoing operations in Oak Ridge, TN. This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives in a highly regulated, technically demanding environment.

Through these strategic collaborations, Omega contributes directly to the strength, security, and sustainability of the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise.
The Nuclear Operations Professional supports day-to-day operational input to nuclear safety basis activities for U.S. nonreactor nuclear facilities. This role applies hands-on operational experience to assist in the development and maintenance of safety documentation, ensuring alignment between facility operations and nuclear safety requirements.
Support nuclear and radiological analyses by providing operational input for safety basis documentation.
Assist in the preparation and update of Documented Safety Analyses (DSAs), hazard analyses, and accident analyses in accordance with DOE Standard 3009-2014.
Support safety basis change evaluations by assessing operational impacts to facility systems, procedures, and controls.
Participate in interdisciplinary engineering reviews, operational working groups, and safety basis discussions.
Provide operational perspective for hot cell operations, radiological protection activities, and nuclear material handling.
Assist in preparing technical reports, operational descriptions, and supporting documentation.
Support internal and external reviews, audits, and regulatory interactions as required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline
Completion of DOE or site-specific nuclear operations qualification programs
Experience supporting DOE installations.
Experience supporting safety basis documentation development or review.
Prior participation in readiness assessments, audits, or regulatory reviews.
