Omega Technical Services is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead onsite field execution for a large-scale nuclear or industrial construction project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This role will oversee all aspects of construction management, including schedule performance, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record managing multi-discipline construction teams, capable of integrating engineering, procurement, and field operations to achieve safe and efficient project delivery.
Lead day-to-day field construction activities, managing subcontractors, craft labor, and onsite supervision.
Ensure all work meets project safety, quality, and compliance standards, including DOE/NRC and NQA-1 requirements.
Coordinate with engineering, project controls, procurement, and operations to integrate construction schedules and milestones.
Conduct construction readiness reviews, site walkdowns, and daily progress tracking.
Oversee material deliveries, equipment installations, and field staging to maintain efficient workflow and configuration control.
Manage subcontractor performance, progress reporting, and change order documentation.
Support field QA/QC activities and ensure proper documentation of as-built conditions.
Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example through daily engagement with field teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
10+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects in nuclear, DOE, or heavy industrial environments.
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-discipline construction efforts from planning through turnover.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOE, or NRC safety and regulatory compliance standards.
Proficiency with scheduling and construction management systems (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Maximo, etc.).
Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
Experience in nuclear, advanced energy, or government facility construction.
Background in commissioning, startup, and turnover processes.
Familiarity with configuration management, field QA/QC, and document control programs.
