Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Editor - Nuclear Accountability Software Editor to support ongoing operations in Aiken, SC. This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.

DUTIES
Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s
(8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10’s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80’s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB.
Education:
Experience/Skills:
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
LANMAS training-Revise the lesson plans, student handouts, exercises, and
instructor aids for the three DOE National Training Center LANMAS courses to
reflect software changes required due the latest release of the LANMAS v4.0
application. Updates may also come from instructor and attendee feedback.
Provide assistance with the development of a new Computer Based Training
(CBT) LANMAS prerequisite class. Develop additional training materials as
needed to support both current and future LANMAS applications.
Requirements documents-Participate in the development of requirements for
new or revised software functionality. Participate in the reconstitution of the
software baseline requirements and incorporate new requirements into the
baseline.
Software acceptance tests-Develop detailed acceptance test cases based on
the technical specifications for the latest scheduled LANMAS software release.
Conduct acceptance testing as necessary.
Software documentation-Prepare or revise documentation required to support
program execution, software quality assurance, or any other software
engineering requirements.
Requires experience with Nuclear Material Control and Accountability at a
DOE/NNSA site
Requires experience with Local Area Nuclear Material Accounting Software
(LANMAS)
Requires nuclear material accounting experience at a DOE/NNSA site
